MOESHA: BIRTH CONTROL (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series about Moesha Mitchell, a vivacious African-American teenager living in Los Angeles with her father, stepmother, and wisecracking younger brother. In this episode, Moesha decides that she is ready to have sex with Aaron. Her friends warn her to take the necessary precautions and go to the free clinic for birth control pills and condoms. At the clinic, Moesha is uneasy about the fact that her counselor is a man, but she manages to relax as she reminds herself why she is taking this step. But at home, Dee finds the birth control pills in Moesha's purse while looking for nail polish. Moesha begs her stepmother not to say a word to her father about the pills, and Dee reluctantly agrees: although she tries to rationalize the step that Moesha plans to take, Dee knows that her stepdaughter must make this decision by herself. Later that night, Moesha and Aaron have a discussion about sex, leading them to evaluate the possible consequences that neither one had previously considered. Commercials deleted.
