VICAR OF DIBLEY, THE: LOVE AND MARRIAGE {SECOND SERIES FINALE} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of situation comedies about the first female vicar of Dibley, a country village full of daffy folk. In this episode, Alice Tinker and Hugo Horton are to be married, and Vicar Geraldine Granger considers doing missionary work in Liverpool. Geraldine is caught in the middle of the wedding planning. On one hand, she listens to Alice's wacky plans which include a knitted wedding gown with a linoleum train. On the other hand, she also tries to comply with David Horton's requests for a tasteful ceremony to please his guests. To complicate matters, David's brother Simon comes for the wedding a few days early and Geraldine finds herself wildly attracted to him. However, in spite of several misshaps and mix-ups, everything comes together for the wedding, which proves to be a happy compromise between Alice and David's tastes. At the reception, Geraldine is unsure of whether or not to move on to work in Liverpool, but several factors draw her back to Dibley.
