EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND: WHY ARE WE HERE? {FIRST SEASON FINALE} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of situation comedies about the quirky Barone family, starring comedian Ray Romano. In this episode, Debra begins to feel overwhelmed by the number of Barones in the house all the time. She and Ray then reminisce about the apartment in which they lived three years earlier and recall their reasons for moving. In a flashback illustrating their recollections, Debra is pregnant and looking forward to the sonogram, but Ray refuses to know the sex of the baby. Eventually, however, Ray succumbs to his curiosity. He is extremely excited by what he sees and hears -- but he gets an extra jolt of excitement when Debra reveals that they will soon have twin boys. They both realize that the apartment is going to be too small for their new family, and they decide to start looking for places to live. They share the news about the babies with Frank and Marie, and Frank mentions an inexpensive house. When Ray learns that the house is across the street from his parents' home, he has a few qualms about buying it, but Debra says that she thinks the place and location will be perfect. Commercials deleted. This program is closed-captioned.
