SEINFELD: THE PUFFY SHIRT (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series set in New York City in which comedian Jerry Seinfeld plays himself. Humorous situations in his personal life are interspersed with brief stand-up comedy routines. In this episode, George must move back into his parents' house because he can no longer afford to pay his rent. And when Jerry and Elaine discover that Kramer's new girlfriend is a low talker, Jerry winds up agreeing with her utterly inaudible statement. While struggling through dinner with his parents, George bumps into a woman who marvels at the beauty of his hands, and soon he lands a job as a hand model. And Jerry learns that he has committed to wearing a shirt designed by Kramer's girlfriend during his appearance on the "Today" show. Jerry reluctantly wears the puffy shirt on national television, and "Today" host Bryant Gumbel scoffs at it. In the stand-up segments, Seinfeld comments on reasons that people move back into their parents' homes, and suggests how to respond to inaudible speakers. Commercials deleted.
