SEINFELD: THE BRIS (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series set in New York City in which comedian Jerry Seinfeld plays himself. Humorous situations in his personal life are interspersed with brief stand-up comedy routines. In this episode, Elaine and Jerry are asked to be the godparents of a newborn baby. While at the hospital, George obsesses over his fantastic parking space directly in front, and Kramer visits the wrong room in the hospital and witnesses a shocking sight -- a creature he calls the "pigman." Elaine learns that planning the upcoming bris is among a godparent's responsibilities, prompting Kramer to strongly advise against the circumcision ritual. And as George stares out the window at his parking spot, he sees a man jump from the roof of the hospital -- and land directly on the roof of George's car. As Elaine tries to find a Mohel to perform the bris, Jerry is chagrined by the idea of holding the baby during the circumcision. When Kramer spots a newspaper article about an experimental project at the hospital, he believes he has found proof of the pigman; in the meantime, George argues that the hospital should pay for his damaged car. And as an eccentric Mohel begins the bris, Kramer tries to halt the ceremony, and the Mohel circumcises Jerry's finger instead. As the program concludes, Kramer stages a liberation of the pigman.
