SEINFELD: THE BURNING (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series set in New York City in which comedian Jerry Seinfeld plays himself. In this episode, Elaine tells George and Jerry that she has discovered that the radio in Puddy's car is pre-tuned entirely to Christian rock stations. Kramer and Mickey then tell Jerry about their new work at the hospital. They have to fake disease symptoms, they explain, so medical students can diagnose them. Meanwhile, Jerry has a new romantic problem; his friend Sophie calls and says, "It's me," and becomes offended when he fails to recognize her voice. To his dismay, Kramer is assigned gonorrhea for his disease -- but does such a good job portraying it that he is reassigned it. Jerry decides to pull "the old switcheroo" on Sophie and see whether she can recognize his voice on the phone. She can't -- she thinks Jerry is her friend Rafe -- and she confides in him that she hasn't told Jerry the "tractor story" yet, intriguing Jerry. At work, George's boss Mr. Kruger is so impressed with George that he gives George full responsibility for a project, an arrangement that does not work out to George's satisfaction. Elaine complains to Puddy about his religiosity, and they go to a priest to discuss their problem. Kramer and Mickey walk into Jerry's apartment fighting about Kramer's gonorrhea, and finally Sophie reveals the truth behind the "tractor story." Commercials deleted.
