DREW CAREY SHOW, THE: MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING {THIRD SEASON FINALE} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedies starring stand-up comedian Drew Carey as a single guy who attempts to juggle his romantic endeavors and his menial job at a Cleveland department store, while maintaining his sense of humor. In this episode, Daffy Duck comes to Winfred-Louder to apply for a job, and Drew has the pleasure and misfortune of interviewing the animation legend. Following the interview, Drew becomes a buffer between Kate and Oswald, who are planning to get married. However, Kate doesnÕt want to marry Oswald, but she canÕt bring herself to hurt him by telling him the truth. She begs Drew for help, and Oswald gives her a chance to get out of the wedding, but Kate doesnÕt answer him quickly enough. Kate gets even more involved in the wedding when OswaldÕs mother shows up unexpectedly. Kate and Drew flee to Drew's house, and they are led on a scavenger hunt consisting of a series of notes left around the house. The hunt ends in the backyard, where they are surprised by the guests waiting for Kate and OswaldÕs wedding ceremony. Kate decides to go through with the marriage because she doesnÕt want to hurt Oswald's feelings, particularly in front of their guests. After Oswald reads his vows, Lewis interrupts the ceremony and calls attention to Drew, who tries to create a diversion. Oswald realizes what is really going on, and Kate tells him how she really feels about marriage. Includes commercials, promos, and public service announcements. This program is closed-captioned.
