One in this occasional series of interview specials, hosted by Barbara Walters. On this edition, Walters's guests are actors Will Smith, Burt Reynolds, and Kim Basinger. In the first segment, Will Smith discusses the following topics, among others: the high point in his life this past year; the effect his parent's divorce had on him as a teenager; the kind of person his father is; whether he remembers the first rap song he wrote; why it angers him when people in the public eye cannot speak grammatically correct English; whether he is conscious of the black community calling him a "sell-out"; the trends he looks for when choosing a movie role; whether he actually believes in government conspiracies; and whether he can make up a rap song on the spot. Next, Kim Basinger talks with Walters about the following topics, among others: the impact of her Oscar nomination on her personal life; what she was like as a child growing up in Georgia; how, despite her intense shyness, she became a model and then an actress; how she got over her terrible anxiety attacks that nearly ruined her career as well as her life; why she put her name and reputation on the line when a group of investors bought a small town in Georgia; the legal battle against her for backing out of her role in the film "Boxing Helena"; the rifts these problems have caused within her family; and how she knew Alec Baldwin would one day become her husband.
