HAWAII FIVE-O: SMALL POTATOES (TV)
Summary
One in this series of dramas that follow rogue Detective Steve McGarrett as he uncovers evil in paradise as a member of a special branch of the Hawaiian State Police. In this episode, Detective Steve McGarrett gets framed by a small-potatoes man in a large gambling syndicate. McGarrett quickly narrows in on Johnny Noah, a runner for a syndicate headed by "the General," when money stolen from a large bank is traced to Noah. Mr. Lee, the man who committed the bank thefts, kills himself after mistakenly leaving $60,000 of stolen money in Noah's car. When McGarrett investigates, he must also deal with federal agents who want the case to themselves. When Noah turns to the General to help him out of his predicament, the head man tells him to deliver McGarrett to a syndicate-run event. With the help of his girlfriend, Gloria Cosmo, Noah convinces McGarrett that the detective will be able to find the head of the syndicate that night. At the makeshift casino, Noah books a ticket for himself on a flight to Chicago. In the meantime, McGarrett has been thoroughly set up. Federal agents arrive and book both Cosmo and McGarrett. McGarrett's only hope to prove his innocence is Cosmo, who was privy to the setup. But only if he can get to her before the General does. The end of this episode is cut off. Commercials deleted.
