ELLEN: IT'S A GAY, GAY, GAY, GAY WORLD (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about the quirky misadventures of a flippant Los Angeles bookstore manager named Ellen Morgan. In this episode, Ellen and Spence meet a colleague and his girl friend while shopping for bug spray. Spence quickly reveals that Ellen is gay, a remark that leaves Ellen hurt. Spence counters that being open about one's sexuality will make straight people aware that gays and lesbians are just like everyone else. Ellen insists that any such announcements should be her choice. At that point, Spence stumbles while reaching for an insecticide and stumbles, allowing fumes to escape from the spray that make everyone light-headed. Suddenly, Spence dreams he's in a world where straight people are the minority and gay people rule, leading to a variety of funny misunderstandings and an eye-opening experience for Spence. Includes commercials. This program is closed-captioned.
