SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH: INNA-GADDA-SABRINA (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series about a teenage witch named Sabrina who lives with her two aunts, who are also witches, and their talking cat, Salem. In this episode, Hilda, Zelda, and Sabrina make fun of Salem's girth, forcing him to diet. Then, Hilda wonders where her 1960s-era pants are and Zelda informs her that she has tossed them out. In school, Mr. Kraft takes over class for a teacher that just gave birth, giving Sabrina and her classmates a ton of reading work. Then, Sabrina interacts with college fair recruiters. Later, Sabrina meets with the Quizmaster, who gives her a spell assignment: to make a time ball. Sabrina creates the time ball and uses the mechanism to reverse time back to the '60s. There, Sabrina purchases some bell-bottoms for Hilda. That night, a hungry Salem eats the time ball, due to it smelling like sardines. By morning, Sabina has awoken in the '60s. She is shocked, and unable to find her time ball to reverse the spell. However, Hilda and Zelda think their new situation is "beautiful." Sabrina is worried that, if they don't find the time ball, they will be stuck in the '60s forever. Meanwhile, Salem begins dreaming about Peggy Lipton and being on "The Mod Squad." At school, Sabrina finds she now lives in the "stone age," with rotary phones, girls unable to wear pants, and limited college options. Harvey stages a sit-in, protesting a lack of vegetarian options in the cafeteria, causing Libby to call them "freaks." Sabrina is also shocked to find that Val is no longer the high school newspaper editor, as she's "only a girl." Anxious to leave the decade behind, Sabrina hunts down Salem after realizing that he swallowed the time ball. However, he refuses to take his furball medicine and runs off, hitching a ride to Philadelphia, where he'll interact with the cast of "Boy Meets World" as the time-warp adventure continues. Includes commercials. This program is closed-captioned.
