SOUTH PARK: VOLCANO (TV)
Summary
One in this series of animated programs for adults about the town of South Park, which is populated by an oversexed school chef, a psychotic teacher, Jesus Christ, and a group of acerbic, foul-mouthed youngsters. In this episode, Jimbo and Ned take the boys hunting in the woods for the weekend. When Jimbo shoots an endangered bear, he explains his actions and the boys seem to understand what hunting is all about. Stan canÕt bring himself to shoot a bunny rabbit so everyone questions his manhood. Suddenly, the ground starts shaking around the town; the local geologist tells the mayor that the volcano is going to erupt and South Park is in danger of being covered by molten lava. Back in the woods, Cartman tells a scary story about the mythical creature Scusslebutt, who has a deformed body with a celery stick replacing his left arm and actor Patrick Duffy substituting for a leg. Cartman decides to make sure his friends will be afraid of Scusslebutt after they donÕt believe his story. Jimbo makes Kenny his honorary nephew and Stan is upset that Jimbo wonÕt acknowledge him anymore because he canÕt shoot defenseless animals. The media arrive in South Park as the news breaks about the volcano and the boys trapped in the woods. The townspeople decide to dig a trench around the town so that the lava flow will completely miss them. Cartman dresses up as Scusslebutt but Jimbo and the hunters shoot at Cartman thinking it really is the monster. Cartman takes off the outfit to reveal himself and the volcano erupts. The hunters are now trapped because of the trench but the real Scusslebutt comes to their rescue. Chef sings a song about the triumph over the volcano and the safety of South Park. Stan decides to prove his manhood to Jimbo by shooting Scusslebutt. Jimbo and Ned decide to give up hunting and drop their weapons which accidentally shoot and kill Kenny. Commercials deleted.
