Summary

One in this long-running daytime serial about the residents of the midwestern town of Springfield. In this episode, Philip is having marital problems with Mindy and decides to seek Reva's advice, but keeps his mouth shut when he finds H.B. at Reva's house. Other highlights include the following: Mindy talks to Billy about her dissatisfaction with Phillip and begins to realize that she loves Rick; Lujack's gang, the Galahads, plan to eliminate Phillip as soon as possible; Josh is delighted to hear that Reva is back in Springfield and he decides to surprise her at home; Mindy tells Phillip that she is in love with Rick and they agree to get a divorce; Josh is shocked to find H.B. at Reva's house, and becomes outraged upon learning that Reva is married to H.B; Mindy, Phillip, Billy, and Vanessa celebrate the divorce and H.B. calls together an immediate family meeting; and Josh, while driving aimlessly through a rainstorm at high speed, loses control of the car. Commercials deleted.

(The title of this series was "The Guiding Light" on radio from 1937 to 1956 and on television from 1952 to 1977; in 1977 the title was changed to "Guiding Light.")
