Summary
This program was taped off the air with a camera on a
tripod by Andy Warhol for his private research and
entertainment. This program is part of the Warhol
FoundationÕs donation to the Museum of the artistÕs
complete television collection. One in this series of
panel game shows featuring three celebrity couples who
compete for prize money. One member from each team is
isolated backstage while the remaining celebrities
answer personal questions about their teammates; each
team serves as a representative for one third of the
studio audience. In this episode, hosted by Bert Convy,
the celebrity couples are Robert and Mary Hegyes, Selma
and Army Archerd, and Gary Collins and Mary Ann Mobley.
Questions posed to the couples include the following:
whether the women would exchange a free subscription
of Playgirl magazine for the Ladies Home Journal;
whether the wives would rather be able to read their
husbandsÕ minds during marital discussions or when
their husbands were speaking with other women;
whether it appears to friends that the wife or the
husband is dominant; and which partner is more
susceptible to flattery. The program cuts off abruptly
before the conclusion. Includes commercials. This
represents the best copy of this program currently
available to the Museum.
