The program begins with a music video, featuring skaters Tara Lipinski, Nicole Bobek, Tanya Kwiatkowski, and Michelle Kwan, who lip synch to Suzy Bogguss's "Fire & Ice." Host Robin Roberts then introduces the commentators, who describe the pressure on U.S. pair champions and the abilities of the current competition leaders. Following is the prerecorded final segment of the free skate section of the pairs competition.
