HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: KADDISH (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, Detectives Munch and Kellerman investigate the death of a woman who was found strangled in a parking garage. When Munch hears the name of the victim, Helen Rosenthal, he flashes back to when he was in high school and had a crush on her. The detectives go to talk with her daughter about any possible enemies or ex-boyfriends that may have wanted to hurt Helen. They visit her ex-husband and immediately rule him out as the murderer. Meanwhile, Detective Pembleton surprises his former partner Bayliss with an invitation to dinner. At dinner, Pembleton tells Bayliss that his wife has left him. Rosenthal's daughter tells Munch and Kellerman about her mother's boyfriend, George Young, who Munch remembers as the high school bully. They look into Young's record, which reveals he has a history of assault. Munch is now determined to find Helen's killer and also to show Young that he's no longer the bully he once was. Despite Munch's persistence, Young's alibi proves to be solid and another possible suspect is apprehended. A call comes in for Pembleton, and as Bayliss is the only other detective available, they must work together on the case. Munch talks with the suspected killer and loses his cool with him.
