HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: HAVE A CONSCIENCE (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, Detective Kellerman fears his name will still be tainted as a "dirty cop," even after being cleared by the grand jury, because the newspapers only mention the cops who were indicted. Detectives Bayliss and Pembleton reconsider what they had previously discussed, including the notion of never being partners again. Kellerman and Lewis investigate the murder of a Korean grocer who was respected in the neighborhood. Kellerman's frustrations mount when Captain Gaffney talks to him about taking bribes. At the crime scene, the son of the murdered man suggests that Luther Mahoney may be involved with this shooting. Meanwhile, Pembleton is subtly trying to sway Bayliss into becoming partners again. Some people at the crime scene recognize Kellerman as one of the dirty cops, which makes him reach his boiling point. Lewis tries to channel Kellerman's frustrations into the Mahoney investigation. When things almost blow up between Kellerman and Mahoney, Lewis begins to wonder about his partner's mental stability. The detectives plan a celebration for Kellerman but he fails to show up. Lewis finds him cleaning his boat with his gun in hand. A frightened Lewis tries anything he can to get the gun away from Kellerman before something happens. Commercials deleted.
