Summary

One in this series of dramas about five siblings in San Francisco who attempt to raise themselves and cope with life's daily dilemmas after their parents die in a car accident. In this episode, Ross, Claudia's violin teacher, announces that he is planning on adopting a baby girl; as they celebrate with Ross, Bailey learns that Jill has died from a drug overdose. Shocked, Bailey knows his life will never be the same, but he pushes away his siblings when they reach out to help. The following developments also occur: Charlie intends to propose to Kirsten but needs the family's permission to give her their mother's engagement ring; Julia attempts to befriend Jill's brother, Griffin, but her efforts have no effect on him; and Bailey begins to self-destruct before everyone's eyes.
