HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: WORK RELATED {FOURTH SEASON FINALE} (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, the new father, Detective Pembleton, is back at work with his partner Bayliss, investigating a shooting spree at a fast-food restaurant. Detective Lewis has returned from his honeymoon but doesn't appear to be as happy as he should be, which makes Kellerman extremely curious. Lewis and Kellerman are assigned to investigate a case in which a bowling ball was dropped from an overpass and went through an automobile windshield. Kellerman feels the case is unsolvable, but Lewis insists on pursuing every lead. Meanwhile, Pembleton and Bayliss question witnesses and discover that one of the survivors happens to know the shooter. Lewis tells Kellerman that he and his brand new wife are getting separated. Kellerman can't believe it and tries to help Lewis deal with his troubles. While interviewing the survivor in the interrogation room, Pembleton suffers what appears to be an epileptic fit and collapses. The paramedics mention the possibility that Pembleton may have suffered a severe stroke, and he slips into a coma while in the ambulance. The surgery on Pembleton to release the pressure of the blood clot from his brain is successful, but there is no guarantee he will wake up. Commercials deleted.
