HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: JUSTICE: PART 2 (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, part two of two, the body of Kenny Damon, who was found not guilty of Rodzinski's murder, is discovered in a junkyard with a single bullet wound to the head. Assigned to the case, Detectives Lewis and Kellerman figure it was a drug-related killing -- except the murder weapon turns out to be an old-fashioned gun only owned by former cops. This leads to the speculation that Jake Rodzinski may be involved with Damon's murder. Sergeant Howard orders Lewis and Kellerman to work separately on this case, with Lewis exploring the possible drug ties and Kellerman investigating Jake. Meanwhile, Pembleton and Bayliss battle over the way that each should show the other the proper respect. After checking with his sources, Kellerman questions Jake about his alibi for the night of Damon's murder, and while Kellerman has a theory about Damon's murder, Lieutenant Giardello is dissatisfied with it. However, Giardello has a change of heart when he learns what sort of gun was used. He calls Lewis back on the case when they realize that Jake may have killed Damon. Hoping Jake's partner, Pez, will not call his bluff, Kellerman questions Pez, who offers some enlightening information. And ultimately, Lewis must forsake his allegiance to his friend.
