HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: FOR GOD AND COUNTRY (TV)

Summary

One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, Detectives Pembleton and Bayliss investigate a possible link between a church bombing that occurred many years ago and a subway bombing in New York. The main suspect, Brian Egan, is being held in New York on death row and the detectives talk to his wife Stephanie. Shortly after questioning her, she is found murdered and their son Kendall is missing. Detectives Lennie Briscoe and Reynaldo Curtis from New York come down to Baltimore after they are informed by Egan that his wife is dead. Later, Kendall tells the detectives that Colonel Alexander Rausch killed his mother, and they go to arrest him. Meanwhile, Detective Munch learns that Briscoe had an intimate relationship with one of his ex-wives, and Bayliss continues his courtship of the assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. Pembleton wants to make Rausch suffer for the racial crimes he's committed, but a court order states that Rausch is to be brought to New York for trial. Before Rausch boards a train for New York, however, tragedy strikes, and Pembleton is frustrated that the world will never know what Rausch had done. Commercials deleted.
