BURKE'S LAW: WHO KILLED 1/2 OF GLORY LEE? {FIRST SEASON FINALE} (TV)

Summary

One in this police drama series about the homicide investigations of millionaire Los Angeles police Capt. Amos Burke, who speaks in witty puns and is known for having his own set of "laws." In this episode, Burke investigates the murder of the half-owner of Glory Lee fashions. The businessman was killed with a sharp and blunt instrument, and Burke is left to iron out the facts. His suspects include the following people: the current sole owner of Glory Lee who is not at all put out by the fact that her former partner has been starched; the deceased man's wife, who was pressing him for a divorce; a fashion designer, whose French accent puts a wrinkle in her claim that she comes from within the borders of Switzerland; and the designer's daughter, a steamingly beautiful model who is in love with herself and was involved in a red hot romance with the victim. In addition to investigating the employees of Glory Lee fashions, Burke and his colleagues turn up the heat on others who have dealings with the suspects including, Mortimer Lovely (played by Buster Keaton), a Glory Lee competitor who happens to have laryngitis when the officers pay their call. Meanwhile, through a scheduling mix-up, Burke has two sultry women waiting for him at home. Includes commercials and public service announcements.
