Summary
Part two of this three-part documentary on the legendary rock band the Beatles, whose members forever changed the sound of music during the 1960s. In part two, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, Beatles' press officer Derek Taylor, Neil Aspinall, and producer George Martin discuss the outbreak of "Beatlemania" in the 1960s. Also included are audio excerpts and visual clips of John Lennon commenting on a variety of subjects. Topics discussed during this program include the following, among others: the intricate manner in which the Beatles had to travel to their performances; Bob Dylan; smoking marijuana; Ringo's need for police protection in Canada; the disabled people who were brought to touch the Fab Four; having peace and quiet only in the bathroom; the hectic life of being on tour and never having a day off; how the film "Help!" enabled them to learn to ski and go to the Bahamas; the subtext of the song "Help!"; the song "Yesterday"; the day the Beatles received their M.B.E.
