AS THE WORLD TURNS {HAL AND GREGORY FIGHT ON THE ROOF} (TV)
Summary
One in this long-running daytime serial, set in the midwestern town of Oakdale. In this episode, Mike Kasnoff is being held by the police on breaking and entering charges. The police claim he was trying to get into the warehouse of Hal and Barbara Munson. Barbara is on her way home and stops by the warehouse to pick up something and is startled when Gregory Varner greets her at the elevator. He drops his briefcase and a bunch of diamonds fall out of it. Immediately, Barbara knows something is wrong and tries to get away from Gregory. Meanwhile, Shannon Mitchell is in Las Palmas being held as a suspect in a murder case. Her son, Tom Hughes, arrives in Las Palmas to take her home, but the detective on the case won't allow that. Shannon and Tom believe that Scott may be involved in the murder. Also, Damian and Lily Grimaldi are planning to renew their wedding vows and Damian arranges it so the the couple can share an intimate evening alone. Back at the warehouse, Gregory has trapped Barbara on the roof and explains that he really wanted to get Hal out of the way in order to continue smuggling diamonds. The police arrive, but Gregory puts a knife to Barbara's throat so they can't move in on him. Hal tries to sneak up behind him and a struggle ensues that sends both of them falling through the skylight. Commercials deleted.
