SISTERS: CRASH AND BORN (TV)
Summary
One in this serial drama series about the four Reed sisters -- Alex, Georgie, Teddy, and Frankie -- of Winnetka, Illinois. In this episode, a nine-months pregnant Georgie gets in a car accident and is knocked unconscious. John and Alex rush to the accident scene where ambulance crews try to save Georgie's life. Meanwhile, Teddy picks up Georgie's sons Trevor and Evan, not immediately alerting them to the accident. As Georgie begins regaining consciousness -- still trapped in the car -- John consoles his scared wife. Meanwhile, Alex tries to get in touch with their parents. Also, the police speak with the man who caused the accident. An angry Mitch assumes that "the bastard was drunk." Then, while talking with Frankie, Georgie begins to have contractions. Later, angered that Teddy won't take him to the accident scene, Trevor sneaks out of the house and bicycles to his mother. Frankie, who has made her way to Georgie, recalls the time when Georgie was pregnant with Evan and her water broke while waiting in line with her sisters at the DMV. Trevor then arrives on the scene, with Teddy and Evan right behind him. At the same time, a breathalyzer reveals that the man who caused the accident was drunk, causing Mitch to throw a punch. As the contractions come faster, medical technicians scramble to get Georgie from the car, while her sisters and other family members start losing control. Trying to soothe her sister, Frankie offers more remembrances of the day Georgie had contractions at the DMV, as her sisters struggled to drive a car with a stick shift to the hospital. Back in the present, crews attempt to peel the roof off Georgie's car, while John consults with his sons over what the future holds. Television cameras arrive as Georgie reaches dilation, with everyone scared about what will happen. Ultimately, Georgie is pulled from the wreckage and delivers the baby on the street. She presents the baby to Frankie and Mitch, for whom she had been carrying the child as a surrogate mom. Commercials deleted.
