PICKET FENCES: FREEZER BURN (TV)

Summary

One in this series of off-beat dramas that often focuses on social issues as it chronicles the lives of Rome, Wisconsin, residents, including town sheriff Jimmy Brock; his wife Dr. Jill Brock; their three children, Kimberly, Matthew, and Zachary; and his two deputies, Kenny Lacos and Maxine Stewart. In this episode, the town's massage therapist, George, is found dead in his freezer. As the police investigate the murder, they discover that George gave some of his female clients more than a simple massage. While going through George's client list, the officers discover that Jill is one of his clients. Though she never received anything but innocent massages, Jimmy cannot understand why she would go to a masseur and not tell him. Meanwhile the police have learned that Mayor Ed Lawson was seen storming into George's house on the day of the murder and had previously threatened George about the "therapy" his wife, Marcia, was receiving. Unfortunately, the authorities have no evidence with which to bring the mayor to trial. The mayor refuses to deny the accusations or confess to the crime, leading to a shocking turn of events as the program concludes. Commercials deleted.
