NIGHT GALLERY: PAMELA'S VOICE / LONE SURVIVOR / THE DOLL (TV)
Summary
One in this supernatural anthology series hosted by Rod Serling. This episode consists of three stories: "Pamela's Voice," "Lone Survivor," and "The Doll." In "Pamela's Voice," a widower is shocked when his deceased wife, whom he murdered, returns from the dead to nag him. He believes that she will disappear when her body is taken to the cemetery, but is surprised to learn that she had been buried months before and that the coffin lying in his living room does not contain her body. In " Lone Survivor," the crew of a ship picks up a lifeboat containing one man who claims to be the sole survivor of the Titanic. Considering that the Titanic had sunk three years before, the crew finds the man's story hard to believe. However, when he predicts the destruction of their own ship, the Lusitania, the crew members realize that things may not be as they seem. In "The Doll," a colonel returns to England from India to visit his niece, Monica. When he arrives, Monica is carrying a strange looking doll that she and her nanny had thought the colonel sent from India. The doll is grisly and is believed to be evil by the young nanny. The colonel quickly deduces that the grim creature was really meant for him as a form of revenge for an assassination he had ordered when he was in India. Commercials deleted.
