Summary
One in this series of dramas that deals with the investigation, arrest, and prosecution of criminals. The first half of each episode concerns the police procedure that leads to the arrest of a suspect, while the second half covers the efforts of the district attorney to prosecute the case. In this episode, a young police officer is shot and killed during a drug bust after repeatedly calling for back-up. Detectives Briscoe and Logan find the drug dealer responsible for the death of the young officer, who tells them that as he ran from the scene of the crime he saw cops sitting in a car around the corner. Briscoe and Logan then discover that the deceased cop was gay and suspect that his pleas for help were purposely ignored by homophobic fellow officers. Stone and Robinette talk to the officers involved and decide to prosecute them for murder in the second degree. Commercials deleted.
