SISTER, SISTER: THE MEETING {SERIES PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The premiere in this comedic series about two identical twin girls -- Tia and Tamera -- separated at birth, who are reunited after 14 years with resultant hijinks. This episode begins on a dark and stormy night as Tia and Tamera watch scary movies. When told to go to bed, Tia and Tamera "break the fourth wall" to tell the TV audience the tale of how they were separated at birth, but have now come to be reunited. In a flashback, the twins are thunderstruck to discover each other one day in a mall clothing store. Tia is a bookworm from the suburbs, while Tamera is a party girl from Detroit. Also introduced are Tamera's imperious single mom, fashion designer Lisa, and Tia's hidebound but well-meaning father Ray. Upon their serendipitous reunion, the twins decide that they must resume their sisterhood posthaste. There's one kink, though: Lisa has just found a new job in St. Louis. This program is closed-captioned. Includes commercials.
