Summary
The first season finale in this series of rough-edged police dramas about the cases and private lives of the detectives and station house personnel of a Manhattan precinct. In this episode, Detective John Kelly works out a deal with a high-profile attorney to defend Officer Janice Licalsi, who has confessed to murdering the mobster Angelo Marino and his driver; Detective Andy Sipowicz asks Assistant D.A. Sylvia Costas to give their relationship another chance after a drunken episode; the half-naked body of a priest is found in a park, a young male prostitute is arrested for the murder, and Kelly suspects the nervous college professor who found the body may know more than he is admitting; Sipowicz takes his son to buy a car at a towed auto auction and happens upon a suspect who may help him close a two-and-a-half-year-old unsolved child abduction case; and Kelly's and Robin's friendship takes a new direction when he surprises her with a kiss.
