MIAMI VICE: SMUGGLER'S BLUES (TV)
Summary
One in this series of police dramas concerning Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, undercover detectives for the Miami vice squad. In this episode, Crockett and Tubbs go undercover to catch a rogue cop who blows up smugglers. The survivor of one such explosion poses as Tubbs' cousin, while Trudy pretends to be his wife. Crockett and Tubbs set up a large drug deal, then circulate a memo about it in hopes that the bad cop will go after them. The plan goes off without a hitch until the final moments, when the vice squad's bomb expert has difficulty setting Trudy free from the explosive contraption to which she's been wired. Fortunately, Tubbs creates a distraction, and the vice squad learn that their wanted man is a lieutenant from another department. Commercials deleted.
