ABBOTT AND COSTELLO SHOW, THE: THE ACTOR'S HOME
{INCLUDES ABBOTT & COSTELLO'S "WHO'S ON FIRST"} (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series starring Bud Abbott and Lou
Costello. In this episode, Costello performs a couple
of odd jobs in the hopes of earning $5 to pay back
Stinky's big brother. First he gets a job selling ice
cream, which proves to be disastrous when Stinky
substitutes foul-smelling cheese for the frozen
confection. Then Costello gets a job selling newspapers
and convinces an elderly customer to give him and
Abbott $1000. They are convinced the money is not real
by two men who say the old man is from a home for
retired actors and is just playing the part of a rich
man. Abbott tears up the money and then learns that it
was real and gets taken away to the retirement home.
Costello meets up with Abbott and the duo entertains the
residents of the home with their famous "Who's on
First?" routine. Commercials deleted.
