
ABBOTT AND COSTELLO SHOW, THE: THE BIRTHDAY PARTY

Summary
One in this comedy series starring Bud Abbott and Lou
Costello. In this episode, Abbott and Costello have a
party in celebration of Costello's birthday. Things go
awry when Costello accidentally makes antipasto with
ant paste and all of the guests at the party get angry
and leave. Abbott throws Costello out. Costello
wanders aimlessly through town disrupting the lives of
everyone he meets. Highlights of his excursion include
the following: he helps an old lady cross the street
without realizing that she does not want to go to the
other side and gets hit over the head with her cane;
Mike the cop yells at him for bothering everyone in
town; he gets hit by a bike and is beaten up by the
rider, Stinky, for getting in his way; and he goes into
a bakery to get a birthday cake for himself and angers
the baker with all of his special requests. Commercials
deleted.
