L.A. LAW {LA LAW}: GOOD TO THE LAST DROP (TV)
Summary
One in this series of legal dramas set in the Los Angeles law firm of McKenzie Brackman. In this episode, the abrasive Rosalind Shays makes a memorable exit from the series as the other lawyers confront an overloaded legal system, an unethical hospital policy, and civil disobedience directed at the I.R.S. Zoe Clemmons finds herself overextended as she prosecutes two trials simultaneously, outmaneuvered by a vicious young child killer in the first and unable to properly concentrate on the second. Victor's personal beliefs interfere with legal ethics in his prosecution of an opportunistic doctor specializing in unnecessary hysterectomies. Stuart represents an outraged citizen who refuses to pay taxes that subsidize government waste. C.J. courts an envoy of German automobile executives, impressing them with her command of their language. The episode's famous highlight is the permanent departure from the series of Rosalind Shays: Rosalind, distracted by the emotional tension between herself and Leland, steps into an empty elevator shaft and falls to her doom.
