FAMILY TIES: THE FUGITIVE {PART 2 OF 2} (TV)

Summary

Part two of two. One in this comedy series about the Keaton family -- Elyse and Steven, two aging ex-hippies, and their conservative, materialistic children. In the second part of a two-part episode, Elyse's brother Ned (played by guest star Tom Hanks) is being sought by the FBI after embezzling over $4 million from his company and hiding it in a computer system. Ned explains that he commited the crime not for his own benefit but rather for the 1800 people who would lose their jobs as a result of an impending corporate merger. With the money and some important computer files missing the merger cannot take place. Elyse tries to convince her little brother to turn himself in, but Ned wants to hide out at the Keatons' home. Though Elyse at first relents, Steven convinces her that it is time Ned grew up and faced his problems on his own. Meanwhile, Alex tries to buy his uncle a plane ticket out of town. Commercials deleted.
