In this program, theater critic Margaret Croyden interviews Lee Strasberg, America's leading proponent of Method acting and co-founder of the Actors Studio. Highlights include the following: Strasberg speaks about the creation of a method of acting; the importance of Stanislavski's work; the Moscow Art Theater; the basic acting problem; why the Actors Studio is not open to the public; Marilyn Monroe's work in his classes; the value of the theater; and the future of the theater. Also, Strasberg is shown leading an exercise in his class and critiquing his actors.
