M*A*S*H {MASH}: DELUGE (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedy programs about the men and women of the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (M*A*S*H) stationed behind the lines during the Korean War. In this episode, the members of the 4077th contend with a massive influx of wounded soldiers and a shortage of supplies after an unexpected enemy attack. During the non-stop action the following occurs: the 4077th runs out of plasma and surgical gloves; Radar breaks his glasses; Hawkeye and Hunnicutt operate on a soldier with phosphorous burns; Radar attempts to swap with other units surplus supplies for necessary materials; Major Houlihan argues with Colonel Potter over whether or not the nurses should be evacuated if the fighting comes any closer; and the ashes from a sergeant's cigarette starts a fire near the operating room. Also, this episode includes various newsreels from the Korean War containing footage of the following people, among others: Winston Churchill, Joe E. Brown, Milton Berle, Danny Kaye, Bob Hope, and General Douglas MacArthur.
