M*A*S*H {MASH}: FALLEN IDOL (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedy programs about the men and women of the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (M*A*S*H), stationed behind the lines during the Korean War. In this episode, Radar is injured by a mortar shell, but his respect for Hawkeye may be damaged beyond repair. When Hawkeye suggests that the clerk go to Tokyo on a weekend pass to meet women, Radar's jeep is shelled as he leaves for his weekend adventure. Hawkeye nervously operates on Radar, blaming himself for his friend's injuries. Although Radar survives, the surgeon drowns his guilt at Rosie's Bar. Suffering from a hangover, Hawkeye cannot face his responsibilities the next day, and a recovering Radar indicates his disappointment in his idol. When the two men argue over Radar's hero worship, their friendship changes irrevocably. Commercials deleted.
