Summary

One in this mystery anthology series. Host Vincent Price introduces this British series of legal dramas about eccentric, kind-hearted barrister, Horace Rumpole, who defends seemingly hopeless cases in London's main criminal court, the Old Bailey.

In this episode, Rumpole travels to Germany to defend British trooper Danny Boyne, who is accused of murdering his commander, Sergeant Wilson. Rumpole finds himself at odds with the British officers, who are determined to clear Boyne's name and the regiment's reputation at any cost, while the barrister is determined to get to the bottom of the case. As usual, Rumpole relies heavily on his experience and intuition to piece together his defense. In the end, he manages to clear Boyne's name, but not without undermining the regiment's plans or marring their image.
