COLUMBO: MURDER UNDER GLASS (TV)
Summary
One in this series of police dramas in which Los Angeles homicide detective Lt. Columbo's unassuming manner masks his keen intelligence and sharp investigative abilities. In this episode, Columbo wrestles with a case of murder caused by a mysterious poison that the lab cannot identify, and searches for the evidence to prove his hunch about the identity of the murderer. Restaurant critic Paul Gerard uses the poison from a blowfish, which only licensed chefs are allowed to handle, to murder Vittorio Rossi, a restaurant owner who refuses to continue to pay off Gerard for good reviews and threatens to expose Gerard as an extortionist. With the help of Gerard's secretary, Columbo learns of Gerard's expertise in preparing the deadly fish.
