ABC SATURDAY MYSTERY MOVIE: COLUMBO: AGENDA FOR MURDER (TV)
Summary
One in this series of police dramas in which Los Angeles homicide detective Lt. Columbo's unassuming manner masks his keen intelligence and sharp investigative abilities. In this episode (presented under the umbrella of the "ABC Saturday Mystery Movie"), Columbo proves that a supposed suicide is actually a murder and grills his prime suspect until he gathers enough proof to make an arrest. Oscar Finch (Patrick McGoohan) commits a well-devised murder of a vice-presidential candidate, his only obstacle to a seat in the Cabinet. The death appears to be a suicide, but a dried blood stain on the floor beneath the clean "suicide weapon" is Columbo's first clue toward proving that a murder has been committed. A piece of cheese left at the scene of the crime also helps him to solve the case. Commercials deleted.
