Summary
One in this series of dramas that deals with the investigation, arrest, and prosecution of criminals. The first half of each episode concerns the police procedure that leads to the arrest of a suspect, while the second half covers the efforts of the district attorney to prosecute the case. In this episode, detectives Greevey and Logan investigate a shooting which left an infant dead and a boy paralyzed. After much investigation, the detectives learn that a fourteen-year-old, T-Ball, was hired to execute a hit by a drug dealer named Ingrams. However, T-Ball mistakenly went to the wrong apartment. Greevey, Logan, and the assistant district attorneys Stone and Robinette discover that the intended victim was Kay, a real estate broker with a cocaine habit. Kay explains that he was supposed to launder money for Ingrams, but used the money for an investment and never repaid the drug dealer. Though he is afraid to testify, Ingrams agrees to do so after Stone threatens him with jail time for tax evasion. Later, in court, Stone reveals why T-Ball got the address wrong and Kay reveals how the drug money was really spent.
