Summary
One in this weekly series of comedy/variety shows, hosted by the comedy-singing duo Tom and Dick Smothers, which features political satire, irreverent parodies of topical social issues, and musical performances. This program's featured guests are pianist Liberace, impressionist David Frye, and folk/rock singers Hedge & Donna. In addition to the usual antic interplay of Tom and Dick Smothers, highlights include the following: David Frye's impression of conservative commentator William F. Buckley, Jr.; Hedge & Donna performing "Long Time Gone" and "Little Child"; Liberace clowning and playing a medley of popular tunes on the piano; and Frye, Liberace, and the Smothers Brothers performing a satirical sketch about the changing political scene.
