Summary
One in this dramatic anthology series. Through the use of actual transcripts from the taped confession and the murder trial, this drama presents the shocking case of subway vigilante Bernhard Goetz, a paranoid white man who shot four black youths on a subway train and claimed the act was committed in self-defense. This controversial criminal case stirred public debate when Goetz was acquitted of all charges, except for criminal possession of a weapon.
Also includes a short film montage of scenes from the inside of a subway.
(This program received an award at the International Film and Television Festival in the category of Best Mini-Series, a Golden Gate Award, and an award in the category of Best Television Feature at the San Francisco International Film Festival.)
