AMERICAN PLAYHOUSE: ALL MY SONS (TV)

Summary

One in this dramatic anthology series. This program features an adaptation of the classic stage play by Arthur Miller. At first glance, the Keller family seems both harmonious and prosperous, but their happiness is threatened over the course of one day by a swindle involving the manufacture of defective military equipment, which resulted in the deaths of 21 Army pilots. Joe and his oldest son, Chris, both know that second son Larry will never return from World War II, but Larry's mother simply won't believe it. In his brother's absence, Chris hopes to marry Anne Deever, Larry's fiancee and the daughter of Joe's business partner. Anne's brother George reveals Joe's deceitful role in the Army accident after visiting their father -- Joe's business partner -- in prison.

The acquistion and cataloging of The Arthur Miller Collection was made possible by The Laura Pels Foundation.
