Summary
One in this dramatic anthology series. In this award-winning drama set at the turn of the century on a North Dakota wheat farm, stoic Norwegian immigrant Ray Sorenson endeavors to marry Inga, his childhood sweetheart. But complications arise when the banks foreclose on his family's farm, so Ray reluctantly joins the Nonpartisan League that is fighting for the farmers' control of their finances and the land they work. Ray's affiliation with the League, however, causes a great deal of friction between himself and his brother. (English subtitles are provided for Norwegian portions.)
