MOONLIGHTING: LUNAR ECLIPSE {SERIES FINALE} (TV)
Summary
The final episode in this comedic private detective series about Maddie Hayes and David Addison of the Blue Moon Detective Agency. In this episode, the office is celebrating the great news that Agnes and Herbert are planning to tie the knot. David's lover Anne, a married woman, informs him that she's thinking about leaving her husband and staying in Los Angeles. At the office party, Herbert confesses his fear of marriage, while Agnes explains to Maddie the reason she thinks of other men even though Herbert is her true love. When Anne's husband, Mark, arrives to speak with Maddie, Anne drops by to see David at the same time. So Herbert helps out by whisking Anne away on a long sight-seeing tour, while Mark confides to David that he has hired a private investigator to find out if Anne is having an affair. David knows he must end the relationship with Anne but cannot do it without hurting her. The private investigator follows Herbert around, thinking he is the one having the affair with Anne, so Herbert confronts the detective on the shopping trip. Meanwhile, David comes up with a plan to get rid of Anne, realizing that she will be hurt in any event. Following the wedding ceremony, David comes to the office to find an executive from the television network removing all the furniture and items from the office. The executive tells David and Maddie that they have been cancelled, and that the props and sets must be returned. Maddie and David desperately try to save the show, but come up empty. Includes commercials, promos, and a public service announcement. This program is closed-captioned.
