ANDY'S GANG: CAPTURE OF THE RHINO (TV)

Summary

One in this children's variety series hosted by Andy Devine. In this episode, Andy introduces a film sequence in which an Indian boy, Gunga Ram, tries to capture a one-horned rhinoceros against the wishes of a local headhunting tribe who worship the rhino. Gunga and his tribe successfully trap the rhino and plan to ship it off to the London zoo so that their leader will earn great respect. In other highlights, the puppet Midnight the Cat, dressed as a Hawaiian girl, dances the hula for a guitar-strumming Squeaky the Mouse, and another puppet, Froggy the Gremlin, teases Andy by using magic to change his clothes. Commercials deleted.
