Summary
One in this comedy series about Sheriff Andy Taylor, his family, and the residents of Mayberry, North Carolina. In this episode, Andy pays a visit to Barney in the (relatively) big city of Raleigh, where his former deputy is struggling in his new position on the local police force. As incompetent and self-deluded as ever, Barney serves as the department's errand boy and is in imminent danger of being fired. Andy bunks with Barney at his rooming house, run by the solicitous Parker family, who encourages Barney to pompously hold forth on the department's strategy to combat a rash of recent supermarket robberies. The Parkers seem excessively interested in this privileged information, prompting Andy to devise a scheme to catch the thieving clan red-handed and redeem Barney in the department's eyes. Commercials deleted.
