ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW, THE: BARNEY'S SIDECAR (TV)
Summary
One in this series about Sheriff Andy Taylor, his family, and the residents of Mayberry. In this episode, Barney acquires a vintage World War I motorcycle at an auction, ostensibly to shore up the Mayberry police force and enable the gung-ho deputy to patrol a nearby stretch of highway for speeders. Barney's characteristic overenthusiasm soon gets the best of him, and he makes a terrible nuisance of himself by harassing truck drivers and the Mayberry citizenry at large, nearly running over Aunt Bee in the process. Opie makes a pest of himself as well using his new wood burning kit, until Andy creates an ingenious plan to use his son's bothersome toy to neutralize his deputy's dangerous one. Commercials deleted.
